Omnidesk has launched its newest product, the Loft ergonomic chair. The chair was designed in collaboration with California-based studio Fuseproject – an industrial design and branding firm.
As its name suggests, the Loft is a fabric ergonomic chair. There's no option for other materials. Its standout feature is the unique backrest made using Omnidesk’s 3D knitting technology. In essence, the knitting pattern utilises a layered triangular pattern that adapts to the user’s body contours helping to contribute to breathability, flexibility, and comfort while sitting.

Besides the chair’s knitting, the Loft has a V-shaped back frame, constructed from a single piece of fibreglass and polyamide to provide ergonomic support. For those who suffer from back pain from sitting too long, the frame of the Loft is suspended and is designed to follow the natural curve of the spine which in turn, helps to potentially alleviate back pain problems.
The chair is customisable as well, having six points of ergonomic adjustments, allowing users to fine-tune their seating position. Other features of the Loft include Class 4 Hydraulics which supports up to 250kg in weight, adjustable lumbar support, and a high-density foam cushion for even weight distribution. More about the technical specifications of the Loft can be found here.
