Lian Li's latest release, the DK-07 standing PC case desk, is an intriguing one. Despite dropping the 30-inch OLED screen that was seen in an earlier prototype, the US$1,399 model still offers a combination of functionality and premium design.
With a motorised height adjustment range from 676mm to 1,162mm, the DK-07 caters for both sitting and standing positions, and its 1,480mm by 805mm surface footprint offers generous room for productivity.
But what sets the DK-07 apart from the standing desks from the likes of Omnidesk and Secretlab is its unique combination of a standing desk and a PC case. Unlike a typical standing desk, the Lian Li DK-07 provides the full functionality of a dual-system PC case, creating an integrated, all-in-one solution for anyone aiming for a clutter-free workspace.
It also boasts a host of modern features. There's a built-in wireless charging pad, with additional Type-C and Type-A ports on the desktop for easy device charging. The front edge of the desk features dual USB 3.2 Type-C ports, dual USB 3.1 Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack, putting essential connectivity at your fingertips. Lian Li has put thought into cable management too, with cable clips, a rear-mounted Cable Tray, and a spacious 10-inch side drawer helping keep everything tidy.
Under the hood – or in this case, under the desktop – the DK-07 accommodates up to 17 fan slots for a single-system configuration, or 12 slots if using a dual-system, allowing for pretty robust cooling solutions even for high-performance builds. The tempered glass top panel also allows a clear view of your components. Vertical GPU installation is supported too
That said, US$1,399 isn’t what one would call “affordable” but its appeal is aimed a niche PC enthusiast audience anyway – and it sure makes for a good centrepiece in your home or workplace.
