Owners of 2022 LG OLED TVs (and more) can start upgrading the webOS interface.

Owners of 2022 LG OLED TVs (and more) can start upgrading the webOS interface.

LG is rolling out the latest version of its smart TV interface, webOS, to owners of older LG smart TVs.

If you own the following LG smart TVs, you can get a pop-up notification on your display offering a full software upgrade

If you’ve given LG permission to send you pop-up notifications on your TV, there’s no need to select specific UX, UI, or features to receive a full webOS upgrade.

The upgrade only covers software features and firmware updates. It does not change the TV’s hardware performance or its durability.

According to LG, the latest version of webOS has a highly customisable user interface, a seamless Quick Card UI for sorting out content and services into categories, and it resembles “mobile user design”.

Also, the upgrade will eventually be extended to more LG smart TVs worldwide, so don’t fret if you’re not covered under the current roll out.
