Laundry meets AI: Panasonic’s CARE+ Edition range learns your clothes’ needs, saves time and energy
Panasonic's Care+ range is equipped with functions like AI-driven automation, steam sanitation and bacteria-eliminating technology for cleaner clothes with minimal effort

Smart homes have changed the way we live. From artificial intelligence-powered fridges that track groceries to robotic vacuums that clean autonomously, technology is making everyday tasks easier and more efficient. But there is one area that has not evolved as quickly: laundry.
Most washing machines focus on efficiency and load capacity, but few prioritise fabric care and automation. And this is where Panasonic’s new CARE+ Edition range is stepping in. Featuring the V Series washer and dryer, these appliances take the guesswork out of laundry, combining patented systems, AI-powered automation, advanced hygiene technology and fabric protection to care for clothes.
With features like real-time AI wash adjustments, auto detergent dosing and steam-powered odour removal, Panasonic CARE+ Edition range makes laundry smarter, more hygienic and less of a chore. The new range was officially unveiled to the media and key opinion leaders on Feb 27.
“We recognise that modern families want appliances that not only deliver exceptional performance but also focus on health and sustainability,” says Mr Phau Cheng Hwee, Director of Panasonic Singapore. “This V Series range of washer and dryer is set to change the way we think about laundry and hygiene.”
Whether you are a tech enthusiast looking to upgrade your smart home, a busy professional who needs fresh clothes without doing the laundry every couple of days or someone who values germ-free clothing, this new line-up offers a solution designed for modern living.

Traditional washing does not always eliminate bacteria, allergens or odours, especially in humid climates like Singapore’s. Clothes may appear clean but can still carry germs and unpleasant smells.
The tech gap in laundry means that while many machines boast powerful cleaning capabilities, few incorporate AI-driven intelligence to optimise fabric care, efficiency, and hygiene, even if the technology is already available.
By integrating machine learning, steam sanitation and its patented cyclone purification system, Panasonic’s CARE+ Edition range offers a smarter, more hygienic way to do laundry.
Intelligent technology for your family’s laundry needs
The V Series washer and driver are designed with intelligence at its core, incorporating AI wash technology to make real-time adjustments based on fabric type, load weight and dirt levels.
This ensures that every wash cycle is optimised for maximum cleanliness while being gentle on your clothes.
A standout feature of the washer is Panasonic’s patented cyclone purification system, which enhances cleaning by generating water circulation to lift dirt and detergent residue more effectively. This ensures deep cleaning while preserving fabric integrity, making it ideal for those who prioritise hygiene and garment care.
Combined with the Blue Ag+ technology that can remove up to 99.99 per cent of bacteria even in cold water and the specialised hygiene and allergy courses, the V Series is able to provide comprehensive protection against residue that can cause skin allergies.

Additionally, the auto dosing system takes the guesswork out of detergent use, dispensing the precise amount needed for each load to prevent wastage and maintain the best washing performance.
For drying, the V Series dryer is equipped with a three-inverter motor system that optimises power consumption while maintaining efficiency. It also incorporates a forward-reverse rotation time ratio, which reduces tangling and promotes even drying. This is key to ensure clothes come out fresh and ready to wear.
The dryer also focuses on hygiene and freshness, with the nanoe™ X technology that is able to eliminate 99 per cent of bacteria while removing allergens to keep clothes clean. These nano-sized particles containing hydroxyl radicals are dispersed throughout the drum, not only sanitising but also deodorising garments. For added freshness, the V Series dryer includes a fragrance system that uses capsules in three different scents to keep clothes smelling fresh for longer after drying.
Refresh suits and outerwear without washing
For those looking to elevate their laundry care beyond basic washing and drying, Panasonic’s Smart Closet can be used to extend garment freshness between wash cycles. Ideal for suits, jackets and other items that are not frequently washed, it offers a quick and convenient alternative to traditional laundry, ensuring clothes remain fresh and ready to wear whenever needed.

Using advanced steam technology, this system helps neutralise bacteria, allergens and odours without subjecting fabrics to a full wash cycle.
For clothes that need a quick refresh, the Smart Closet’s swing off wrinkles function uses powerful steam that penetrates deep into the fabrics. Upper and lower dual air ducts circulate air to agitate clothes like the wind, restoring elasticity while reducing wrinkles. The result is crisp, smooth garments without the need for ironing.
A particularly nifty feature is the Smart Closet's heat pump technology that quickly dries wet jackets and even shoes that would otherwise become sources of mould and odours. This same technology uses a low temperature setting to gently care for delicate fabrics like cashmere, wool, silk and linen that cannot go into a conventional dryer.

The closet even offers a dual aromatherapy feature with magnetic suction embedded fragrance capsules that add a pleasant aroma to freshly steamed clothes.
Together, these features make the Panasonic CARE+ Edition range a comprehensive solution for busy professionals. The smart technology transforms laundry from a time-consuming chore into a simple task, delivering consistently professional results while freeing up valuable hours for what matters most.
