Google I/O 2023, slated for 10 May 2023.
Google has decided on the start date for its annual Google I/O developer-focused conference. This year’s run is slated for 10 May 2023. In Singapore's time, it will be 11th May, 1am.
According to a Tweet by Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, Google I/O 2023 can be experienced online and in-person at Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, California, USA.
While there were no specific details about what will be presented at this year’s I/O, we know that the multi-day conference typically covers developer-centric updates that eventually cascade to real-world products, services, and experiences related to Google. For example, last year’s iteration showcased Google Cloud, Android 13, AI enhancements in Google Workspace, AR glasses, and conversational AI updates to LaMDA, among a host of consumer product teasers like the Pixel 7 series and the unreleased Google Pixel Tablet.
This year, we can expect more details about Android 14 (which has already started developer previews) and some updates to Bard (Google’s very own large language model chatbot to rival ChatGPT which debuted in Paris and didn’t have a very stellar start).

On our wishlist would be more updates to the Pixel Tablet (if it’s even coming) and other AI-touched consumer products that would complement nicely with Google’s aggressive advancements in this field.
Registration is open to users with a Google Account with developer profile access. It can be done here.
