Robot vacuums are set to take another leap forward with brands like Roborock, Ecovacs and Dreame showcasing plenty of new technology and improvements at IFA 2024.
Dreame's newest prototype robot vacuum that was on display had new technologies like the ProLeap system, which uses additional retractable legs with motors built into the wheel that allow for the robot vacuum to clear steps up to 5cm tall.
In addition, the VersaLift Navigation feature allows for the LiDAR periscope on top of the vacuum to be lowered to fit under low-clearance areas like a sofa or bed. The robot vacuum will then rely on its AI RGB and camera sensors to navigate around.
Lastly, Dreame also showcased the HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush system which uses dual counter-rotating brushes for better efficiency on different floor surfaces as well as better hair detangling performance.
While these new technologies aren't available in a product yet, Dreame did also debut the new Dreame L40 Ultra robot vacuum, which comes with an extendable and liftable side brush, obstacle avoidance for over 100+ objects like cables and shoes, as well as automatic cleaning of the mops and dustbin emptying.
The Dreame L40 Ultra is already on sale in Singapore at Dreame's Lazada and Shopee stores, with prices starting at S$1,899.
