If you love pizza and have a thing for technology, you’re in luck. Spotted at this year’s CES convention is the Current Backyard Model P electric pizza oven.
It’s a compact electric pizza oven that is certified for both indoor and outdoor use, with additional smarts provided by the inclusion of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity that lets users tweak oven settings and get notifications via a companion app.
Speaking of which, the app has a Pizza Build Calculator function that offers customized cook times and temperatures, allowing users to customise each 12-inch pizza to suit their preferences for sauce, cheese, toppings, and even dough thickness. The app will also notify users once their pizzas are ready.
In terms of temperature, the Model P tops out at 850°F (454°C). This level of heat is apparently perfect to help you churn out Neapolitan-style pizzas in just two minutes. You get five different cooking modes for various pizza styles, including Neapolitan, New York, thin crust, and frozen pizza, as well as a broil function with high and low settings.
The Model P is built using commercial-grade stainless steel for durability and was designed to be fitted in apartments and backyard kitchens.
Availability and pricing
The Model P is expected to be available in North America sometime in Q2 2025 with an MSRP of US$599 (~S$818). Availability and prices out of North America are still unknown at this stage. Do any appliance distributors in Singapore want to take a stab at bringing these in?
