Apple quietly pushed back the controlling of robot vacuums with Siri to early 2025.

Initially scheduled to roll out this year, Apple tweaked the footnote on its Home app webpage to indicate that HomeKit support for robot vacuum control will only be available early next year.

Apple states on the iOS 18 webpage that the Home app "now supports the core functionality of robot vacuum cleaners, such as power control, cleaning mode, vacuum, mop, and charge status".

When the feature is added early next year, users will be able to ask Siri to start robot vacuums to clean specific rooms or execute specific automations and scenes.
