During the Covid-19 pandemic, I was introduced to the idea of camping on your balcony (if you had one). Simply put, this was setting up a camping experience, sometimes including prepping and cooking a small meal, all within the confines of one’s balcony in place of the great outdoors.
Fast forward to today, I still binge on enthusiast camping videos on YouTube and secretly harbour a desire to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind for a weekend in the wilderness. While scouring the web recently to compile my ideal camping gear setup, I came across the immensely appealing Aecooly Camperkit.
With a Swiss army knife-like ethos, the Aecooly CamperKit is an all-in-one module product built around interchangeable modules that enable different functions. The CamperKit promises to simplify your gear setup significantly. Its myriad of functions aside, what's equally appealing is its compact size.
Powered by an internal 21,700mAh battery, the kit comes with a total of 11 modules in all, including a high-speed fan, flashlight, emergency alarm, water pump, and more. The full list of modules are:
- High-Speed Fan Module
- Flashlight Module
- Emergency Alarm Module
- Arc Lighter Module
- Ceiling Fan Module
- Handheld Fan Module
- Camping Lantern Module
- Portable Water Pump Module
- Ambient Light Module
- Air Pump Module
- Power Bank Module
All in all, it looks like an invaluable tool not just for campers, but even to have around the house or on extended trips outdoors.
Availability and pricing
As is typical of products found at CES, the CamperKit is yet to be available at retail, with pricing unavailable as of yet. However, Aecooly is expecting to run a Kickstarter campaign sometime this year for interested backers. We’ll update this piece when more information emerges. All I can say at this point is, save me a spot on the Kickstarter campaign.
