The line-up spans 4K, QLED and XLED models and with support for PS5-friendly features.

Sharp has unveiled its new Aquos 2025 4K Google TV series in Singapore, including one big size 98-inch model.

The line-up is split into four categories – Aquos 4K (HJ6000X), Aquos QLED (HL6500X), Aquos QLED 144Hz (HN7000X), and the flagship Aquos XLED (HU8500X). Across the board, the new TVs feature Sharp’s V7/X7 Revelation processors with AI enhancements, support for Dolby Vision and Atmos, 144Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium, and even a solar-powered remote (a concept Samsung debuted previously).

But perhaps the most interesting (to me anyway) highlight is the AI Karaoke function, which Sharp says can “detect and mute vocals from tracks” so you can sing along to your favourite songs on apps like YouTube. That said, music apps like Spotify are also available on Google TV and already have a karaoke-like mode that allows you to do just that too, albeit a subscription is required.

Additionally, every Aquos model also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode too, making them great companions for your PlayStation 5 console.

Availability and pricing

The Aquos 2025 4K Google TV series is now available in Singapore through retailers such as Best Denki, Courts, and Harvey Norman. Prices start from $637 for the 50-inch model of the Aquos 4K and up to $5,318 for the 85-inch Aquos XLED or the giant 98-inch Aquos QLED 144Hz. Sitting nicely in the pricepoint sweetspot – in my opinion – is the 65-inch Aquos XLED, which has a recommended retail price of $3,084.
