Secretlab’s new Otto Adjustable Legrest turned out to be more useful than I expected
Footrests aren’t exactly exciting, but this legrest’s solid build, adjustable incline, and ergonomic benefits make it more than just an accessory you forget about.

When Secretlab sent over their new Otto Adjustable Legrest, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I mean, how exciting can a legrest really be? It sounds like a nice-to-have in theory, but it’s not exactly the first thing you think of when trying to upgrade your sitting setup. That said, after a few weeks of using the Otto around the house, I’ve found myself not wanting to sit without it. Turns out, a good ottoman legrest actually makes more of a difference than I expected.
At first glance, the Otto doesn’t look like much. In fact, it shares the same design DNA as their Premium and Professional Footrest accessories. It’s not bulky either, and there’s no RGB trim or themed upholstery to match your Secretlab chair. It’s just a compact, black legrest with a padded top and a surprisingly sturdy frame. But with that said, there’s a functional elegance to it. It looks clean, and more importantly, it doesn’t scream “gamer” which is great because thanks to its adjustable height and incline, I found the Otto to be comfortable to use with my Titan Evo as well as my living room sofa.
It remains to be seen if Secretlab will release an Otto version with a leatherette-type material.
What makes the Otto work – literally – is its adjustable incline. You get five angle settings, and while that might not sound like much, it actually gives you more flexibility than expected. The top is padded with the same PlushCell Memory Foam used in Secretlab’s other footrests, so there’s a familiar cushy feel to it. Comfort-wise, it won’t blow your mind, but that really depends on how and where you’re using it. Under a desk, while working or gaming on a PC, I actually found it a bit awkward. In that setup, I’d still prefer the Recliner Add-on. But the moment I switched to console gaming or watching TV, where there’s no desk in the way, the Otto felt a lot more natural. It’s surprisingly comfortable when your legs aren’t boxed in.
That said, even at a desk, it does help with posture – especially if you’re in a Titan Evo and tend to recline during longer sessions. With your feet propped up, your spine straightens out a little more, and you’re less likely to hunch or twist your legs into weird angles. I noticed I fidgeted less during long work calls and late-night gaming sessions, which probably says something about my body being a bit more aligned than usual. I also tested it in a few non-chair scenarios, such as propping my legs up on it while lounging on the sofa or using it as an impromptu laptop (and snack) stand on the floor. Turns out the Otto has more functions than it was designed for…hehe.
Key to the Otto are levers on both ends that allow you to adjust the height as well as the inclination of the legrest.
That said, there are a couple of things worth pointing out. The PlushCell Memory Foam, while comfortable, can feel a bit warm on the calves – especially during longer sessions where your legs are resting fully on it rather than just your feet. Also, the grooves on the surface are prone to catching dust and debris, which means you’ll probably find yourself brushing it down more often than you’d like.
Secretlab has priced the Otto Adjustable Legrest at S$329, which puts it about S$90 more than their Recliner Add-on. That makes sense, considering it’s a fully standalone unit with its own metal frame and adjustable mechanism. It’s definitely not cheap, but after a quick Google search, I couldn’t find another footrest with the same level of customisability or build quality.

Whether it’s worth the price really comes down to how you sit. If you regularly use a footrest or tend to recline for long sessions, the Otto makes a lot of sense as an upgrade. But if you’re the type who sits more upright with your feet flat on the floor, then one of Secretlab’s simpler Premium or Professional footrests would be the more practical choice – the Otto would probably be overkill.
As for me, the Otto has earned a permanent spot in my living room. And oddly enough, thanks to the adjustable height, it’s also been pulling double duty as a compact footstool at the front of my sofa.
