Secretlab has been introducing accessories to its flagship gaming chair (read our review here) since its launch in 2021. The following year it introduced Skins sleeves, and then two very good footrests in 2023. This year, the company is launching what it aptly calls a Recliner Add-on – an accessory that I’ve personally been hoping for.
One of the things I appreciate about Secretlab is the inventive approach of their design team. They are not only focused on enhancing existing products by adding thoughtful features even after launch, but also on ensuring these improvements provide real value to users – often saving them money in the long run. For instance, their Skins sleeves allow existing Titan Evo owners to change the look of their chair without having to spend on a new one, and the new recliner add-on means you get to unlock more ways to sit on your Titan Evo. It’s also compatible with the older Secretlab’s Classic series of gaming chairs.
I’ve been using the recliner add-on with my Titan Evo for a few weeks now – thanks to an early sample that Secretlab sent over – and to say that it’s darn comfortable is saying the obvious – because most recliner chairs are supposed to be comfortable. But not many seem to get it right. At least not in the ergonomic sense.

Take the Hinomi X1 that we reviewed last year for instance. It’s got a leg rest that only extends forward and does not allow you to adjust the angle. While this works great when lying flat on the chair, it does not allow you to dial in your preferred angle to offer the right ergonomic support especially around the calf area. Secretlab’s recliner add-on on the other hand, provides more angle adjustments that range from 0-degree to 80-degree. This works with the chair’s backrest recline and seat base tilt features to accommodate a wider range of sitting positions – one of my favourite is sitting with my legs crossed on it.
Secretlab says this extensive support up to our heels decreases pressure on our thighs and lower back, and I’m inclined to agree. The Titan Evo and its lumbar system, together with the recliner add-on, make it one of the most comfortable ergonomic gaming chairs to me. I also like how easy it is to operate the recliner; you simply push a lever down to get it up to your preferred angle or hold the lever and use your calf or feet to push it back beneath the seat base.

A big part of what makes the recliner add-on so comfortable is the high-density PlushCell Memory Foam cushion used—it’s the exact same cold-cure foam used on Secretlab’s Premium Footrest (read my review here), and it offers a really nice plushy feel.
But while the new recliner add-on hits most of the right spots, there are a couple of notable misses. For one, the black surface of the cushion is an easy magnet for grime and dirt, and it can become apparent very quicky. The recliner is also not extendable, and in consideration for taller Titan Evo owners or those with long legs, this feels like an odd exclusion. It would have been nice if I could rest up to my feet on it. I asked Secretlab about this, and it looks like their design team is aware and is already working on a new production solution to address this.
The Ergonomic Recliner Add-on is easy to recommend if you're looking to take the comfort of your Titan Evo to the next level. PHOTO: HWZ
Would I recommend Secretlab’s recliner add-on, then? Absolutely. If you’re already a Titan Evo owner and want to bring the ergonomics and comfort of the chair to the next level, this is quite possibly the endgame upgrade to go for. I’m not sure what else Secretlab has in store for the Titan Evo, but as one of the only future-proof ergonomic gaming chairs on the planet, I’m ready to be surprised.
The ergonomic recliner add-on reviewed here retails for S$239 and will be available at Secretlab’s online store in early 2025. A Founder’s Edition that comes with a metal-plated tag, quilted velour and an additional layer of cooling gel is now available for S$299.
