HWZ's top long-form videos of 2023
As the end of yet another eventful year approaches, here's a quick throwback to HardwareZone's top content of 2023.
In this article, we look at 5 of the most-watched long-form videos we shared in 2023. Thank you all for making HWZ the leading online technology portal in Asia Pacific, and supporting what we do. Here's our year in review as we look forward to another.
1. Epson Home Theatre EH-TW6250 4K Pro-UHD 3LCD Smart Gaming Projector

Can projectors even replace mainstream TVs, let alone a "gaming projector"? We answer that by going into great detail about its brightness, lamp life, 4K clarity, the gaming features, and all the other little bits that a TV can't do.
2. Sony Float Run running headphones review

Are runners-specific headphones really catered for fellow kneecap-destroyers, or is it just a marketing thing to make you choose it over other premium alternatives that promise unmolested audio clarity and robust connectivity? This had to be done on video, because it also showcased the gadget's environmental awareness and clear voice calls offered.
3. Ikawa home coffee roaster review

With enough money, time, and space, anybody could roast and brew coffee at home if they wanted to. But the constraints of being in Singapore's rat race meant most of us had to live like permanently exhausted, time-strapped, two-legged hamsters in a cage (as someone wise once said you need a very small space to do something, which conveniently escapes us right now). Our video guy decided to review a compact coffee roaster and see if it's suitable for HDB dwellers, and more importantly, if he's rubbish at making coffee (kidding, it's to see if it can roast beans decently, or if you're better off buying roasted beans).
4. Torras Coolify 2S neckband air conditioner review

Another Singapore special tops our video list. Special, because Singapore's climate is as enjoyable as a non-optional sauna with no temperature control and extra odours for flavour. That makes a neckband air conditioner seem like a no-brainer choice. Does the Torras Coolify 2S work, and is using it a pain in the neck? The video shows us through the great Singaporean outdoors with a dinosaur suit for added man juice accumulation (no, not that man juice).
5. Custom PCs by system integrators in Singapore

This episode is part of a larger 2023 series we commissioned, where we looked at the various options available for hassle-free custom PCs across multiple brands offering that service. It also goes into detail that's especially helpful for people new to custom PCs, like knowing if the number of cooling fans matters based on the components you're getting.
