Another car manufacturer has managed to poach a senior executive of Apple's electric vehicle (EV) team.

Soonho Ahn, who joined Apple in December 2018 as the global head of battery developments, has left the company for Volkswagen. Ahn previously worked at Samsung SDI as the vice president. The report added that Volkswagen also poached a veteran in battery technologies from BMW.

Two months ago, Ford announced in a press release that Doug Field, the former lead of Apple's EV project joined the company as chief advanced technology and embedded systems officer. Several top managers from the EV team reportedly left Apple this year.

Apple has been aggressively hiring veterans from the industry. Earlier this month, former Tesla Autopilot software director Christopher Moore joined Apple and reports to Stuart Bowers, who is also another former Tesla staff. Apple's EV team is made up of former engineers from Mercedes and Porsche.
