Sony Honda Mobility (SHM) announced its electric car brand, AFEELA and showcased a prototype at CES 2023.

According to SHM, AFEELA represents "FEEL", which is at the center of the mobility experience. It is an expression of an interactive relationship between people and mobility.

The prototype is equipped with 45 cameras and sensors (e.g. Time-of-Flight) inside and outside, together with 800 TOPS of maximum computing power for ECU.

SHM is partnering Qualcomm to secure chips from the latter's Snapdragon Digital Chassis to use in key features such as AD/ADAS, HMI/IVI, and telematics. It is also collaborating with Epic Games to create new value in mobility services and entertainment.
