Samsung can now test its self-driving cars in California

Samsung has a new testing ground for its self-driving cars.

Samsung reportedly got approval to test its self-driving cars in California. 

According to The Verge, Samsung is among the list of companies who have agreed to the terms of the Autonomous Vehicle Tester Program from the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Some of the other companies on the list are Apple, Bosch, BMW, General Motors, NVIDIA and Waymo.

In May this year, the Land Ministry in South Korea gave Samsung the go-ahead to test its self-driving car on public roads in the country. Samsung's rival, Apple got the approval in April to test its self-driving car software in California.
