The new Sony VPL-HW45ES is a full HD SXRD home cinema projector with a lamp life of 6,000 hours

Versus the 2-year-old VPL-HW40ES that it replaces, the new VPL-HW45ES offers a more detailed picture, higher brightness of up to 1,800 ANSI lumens, better contrast, as well as lower background noise.

If you’re looking for a home theater projector, but isn’t ready yet to jump into 4K, Sony has just launched the VPL-HW45ES, a compact full HD 3D projector based on the company’s SXRD panel and Reality Creation technologies.

Versus the 2-year-old VPL-HW40ES, this new VPL-HW45ES (which sports the same chassis) offers a more detailed picture, higher brightness of up to 1,800 ANSI lumens, better contrast, as well as lower background noise. Additionally, the lamp lasts up to a good 6,000 hours.

Available in black or white, other features of the VPL-HW45ES include a front exhaust, built-in RF 3D transmitter, and a USB update function to keep the device’s firmware up-to-date with the latest software releases.

The VPL-HW45ES projector will be available in Q2 2016 for S$2,999.
