LG Tone Free T90.
LG Singapore announced its 2022 Tone Free series true wireless earbuds, which consist of three models coming to our island: the Tone Free T90, Tone Free T60, and the Tone Free Fit TF8. The variety of TWS combines on-the-go personal audio and different features to complement its user’s lifestyle.

LG Tone Free T90.
The LG Tone Free T90 is the flagship TWS in the 2022 Tone Free series, crafted with large, dynamic 11mm drivers, a graphene structure, and a host of competitive features. The audio’s tuned by Meridian Audio, with additional Meridian Headphone Spatial Processing to afford a natural soundstage and Meridian Perfect Balance for consistent tonal balance at any volume.
LG claims that the T90 are the world’s first Dolby Atmos TWS with Dolby Head Tracking. The latter tracks the user’s head movements and recalibrates sound to make the listener central to the experience. Dolby Head Tracking works on music, movies, and video games.
Also on the IPX4-rated T90 is Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite, which offers wireless 24-bit/96kHz high-res audio with low latency – ideal for gamers who rely on sound to make big plays.
The upgraded Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) eliminates ANC feedback and cancels external noises with a new filter and higher sampling rate. It even packs an “advanced howling detection algorithm”. Also included is a Real-Time ANC Optimiser that calibrates ANC when the buds are inserted into the ear (with readings taken from the microphones).
Tone Free T90 also has a Voice Pickup Unit that detects and reduces ambient noise during voice calls. It offers nine hours of uptime, and a total of 29 hours with its charging case. There’s also a Plug and Wireless feature, where you get use the buds by plugging the charging case into the source device, and it acts as a Bluetooth transmitter in source’s stead.
LG Tone Free T60.
The Tone Free T60 leaves out some T90 features in favour of a lower price point. Not included on T60 are Dolby Head Tracking, the Voice Pickup Unit, the Real-Time ANC Optimiser, and Active Noise Cancellation. T60 also lacks wireless charging, and the Plug and Wireless feature.
The 2022 LG Tone Free T90 retails at S$329, while Tone Free T60 goes at S$229. In collaboration with South Korea’s Postech Ergonomic Design Technology Lab, LG also released a Tone Free TF8 for users who’d like to have true wireless earbuds during a workout.
TF8 offers a ‘Performance Fit’ that sets the buds in the correct position for optimal comfort and sound experience, featuring Plug and Wireless as well.
The active lifestyle earbuds focus on cleanliness and resistance against the elements, with IP67 resistance against water and dust. Like the T90 and T60, the charging case comes with UVnano protection for passive ultraviolet sterilisation, and medical-grade silicone ear gels for hygiene.
TF8 has six hours uptime (ANC on) and a maximum 12 hours when the charging case included.
