The three new models in Epson’s EpiqVision Mini Projector series, for once, don’t come in the usual Epson white or black housing. The new projectors come in Ice Green (EF-21G), Beige Rose (EF-21R), and Metallic Navy (EF-22N), and are designed to deliver a go-anywhere viewing experience.

The difference between the three models is that the EF-22N has a stand that allows for 360-degree horizontal and vertical rotation, providing optimal viewing angles.

FHD resolution and advanced 3LCD technology, built-in dual 5W speakers (that support Dolby Audio), Google TV, Google Cast, 1,000 lumens, HDR10 technology, HLG capabilities, over 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and automatic screen calibration. In fact, the Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor technology enables real-time auto keystone adjustment, auto obstacle avoidance, and auto screen fit capabilities. This means that the screen is scaled to avoid nearby objects and adjusted to fit the frame perfectly in just one second

Big, but delivers on its promise

Epson also unveiled the EH-QL3000W and says that this premium home theatre projector delivers the ultimate high-end viewing experience, no matter the setup and lighting condition.

It leverages Epson’s improved high brightness 4K technology (3840 x 2160) and 3LCD laser technology to deliver 6000 lumens of brightness, and images up to 1,000 inches in size (depends on the lens used). Epson says that the projector’s larger panel size enhances light durability for precise control of each pixel to deliver brighter images. The use of a double micro-lens also minimises the overlap area of light for a more efficient production of 4K3 image quality, reducing brightness loss along the way.

The EH-QL3000W also comes with support for HDR10, Dynamic Tone Mapping, and Frame Interpolation. Dynamic Tone Mapping enhances visuals by supporting HDR display on a scene-by-scene basis, and Frame Interpolation delivers smooth visuals with reduced blur, providing users with optimal image quality and sharp, detailed images.

One special feature of the EH-QL3000W is that it is compatible with eleven interchangeable lenses, that is uses to project the desired image size, at optimal quality, in any media space. Options include an ultra-short throw and a zero-offset lens that allows the projector to be installed on a desk, floor, or even the ceilings, with the throw distance (1,52 - 2,47:1) easily adjustable to project images from different distances without moving the projectors.

Unlike the three models in Epson’s EpiqVision Mini Projector series, the EH-QL3000W has no operating system pre-installed but instead uses Epson’s ELPAP12 dongle that runs Android OS.
