If you're in the market for a pair of triple-driver in-ear monitors (IEMs), Creative's latest audiophile-grade in-ears is one to consider.
The Creative Aurvana Trio offers a hybrid triple driver array. It consists of two precision balanced armature drivers, and one dynamic woofer with a bio-cellulose diaphragm.
According to Creative, the bio-cellulose is ultra-thin, which is 'ideal' for delivering sound velocity that's comparable to an aluminum or titanium diaphragm. The fibrous material also gives the IEMs a warm and delicate sound signature.
The Aurvana Trio sports a gun-metal finish on its aluminum housing with rubber accents. It uses a 1.2m detachable, braided MMCX cable. The cable also has an inline microphone for phone calls, but be prepared to find an adapter for the Aurvana Trio since it uses a 3.5mm headphone jack. For comfortable use and noise isolation, the Aurvana Trio features an angled in-ear design.
Other accessories provided along with the Creative Aurvana Trio are its carry case, three sizes of silicone tips, one pair of memory foam tips, and a trusty airplane adapter.
We had the opportunity to give these IEMs a spin during ISSE 2017. You can read our hands-on article here. It has an official pricing of US$249, while its official local pricing sits at S$399. It'll be available from mid-January 2018 onwards.
