Creative announces launch of ultra-light Sound Blaster Jam Bluetooth headset
Creative Technology Ltd has just announced the launch of the Sound Blaster Jam a light-weight Bluetooth headset that’s targeted at the smartphone user, with a long battery life and the ability to double up as Sound Blaster audio-enhanced headphones when connected to a Mac/PC via USB.
Creative’s new Sound Blaster Jam seems to be built with the smart phone user in mind, with NFC for easy one-touch pairing, a lightweight design, and a built-in microphone with noise reduction and acoustic echo cancellation abilities to deliver crystal clear audio when you take calls over Bluetooth.
It doesn’t stop when you get home though, as the Sound Blaster Jam can be plugged in to your computer via USB for clear uncompressed digital audio playback and to apply Sound Blaster’s SBX Pro Studio enhancement to all your music, movies and games. This suite of audio technologies includes features like Surround, Crystalizer, Bass, Smart Volume and Dialog Plus, letting you fully customize every aspect of your headphones' audio.
High performance Neodymium drivers give a frequency response of 20Hz~20kHz, and Bluetooth 4.1 technology allows for energy-efficient audio streaming, allowing for up to 12 hours of playback. One-tap Bass enhancement is available via the Bass button on the earcup, as are controls for power, volume, Bluetooth, audio play/pause and calls, making it extremely convenient to use.
The Sound Blaster Jam will be available from next week at the Creative store for $69.
