After a strong showing with the CMF Buds Pro 2 back in 2024, CMF by Nothing is adding to the brand’s earbuds lineup with three new models that are priced even more affordably.
Cheaper is good, but we'll really need to dig in to see why three buds are launched at the same time.
CMF Buds 2a
Starting with the CMF Buds 2a, these entry-level earbuds are the most affordable at just US$49 (~S$64.17). The earbuds are tuned by Dirac. It uses 12.4mm bio-fibre drivers and is paired with Ultra Bass Technology for extra oomph in the low end.
The earbuds can last for 8 hours in a single charge with a total battery life of 35.5 hours, including the charging case.
CMF by Nothing also claims a 42dB noise reduction thanks to hybrid ANC, and it's rounded off with an IP54 dust and water resistance rating.

Moving one step up is the CMF Buds 2, also the successor to the original CMF Buds. Priced at US$59 (~S$77.27), these earbuds get Dirac Opteo, which tunes the sound with a smart audio algorithm. It uses 11mm PMI + TPU drivers, and are supposedly capable of cancelling out up to 48dB noise with the hybrid ANC feature.
The earbuds' battery life is up to 13.5 hours. With the charging case is included, that number goes up to 55 hours. They’re IP55-rated dust and water resistant, and the rotary dial on the case has an interesting transparent edge.

Last, the CMF Buds 2 Plus is priced at US$69 (~S$90.37), slightly lower than the CMF Buds 2 Pro’s S$99 price tag. Like its older brother, the Buds 2 Plus supports LDAC high-res audio streaming and up to 50dB of noise cancellation.
These earbuds use a single 12mm driver on each side. The battery life is 14 hours, and with the charging case, it increases to 61 hours.
The earbuds are currently available for pre-order in CMF's priority markets, such as India, the EU, Malaysia, and more. There is currently no information on local availability or pricing yet. We’ll update this article once we know more.
