Bose has expanded its QuietComfort Line with a more affordable alternative to the company’s flagship QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. Say hello to the new QuietComfort (QC) Earbuds.
In terms of design, the new earbuds have a different look compared to the QuietComfort Ultra. They have less prominent stems and are more pod-like. They remind me of Samsung's Galaxy Buds2.
The QuietComfort Earbuds come with three sizes of ear tips and stability bands to ensure a secure fit for various ear shapes. If you’re planning to go on a run with them, the earbuds have an IPX4 rating making them resistant to splashes of water and sweat.
Bose says that the earbuds have up to 8.5 hours of playtime on a single charge with ANC off. The charging case provides an additional 2.5 charges, which brings the total listening time to around 30 hours. The case charges via USB-C and supports wireless charging. A quick 20-minute charge can provide up to three hours of listening time, which is nice to have should you forget to charge it.

The earbuds have three microphones for noise cancellation and voice pickup during calls. They also support multipoint connectivity, a low-latency mode for gaming, and a new remote selfie feature. The remote selfie feature enables the QC Earbuds to act as a remote shutter for the user's phone camera.
Other features of the QuietComfort Earbuds include a five-band equaliser via the Bose QC Earbuds app, customisable touch controls, adjustable ANC, and a “Voice ID” feature for improved voice command accuracy.
All in all, the QuietComfort Earbuds look like they could be a good option for those who are seeking Bose's renowned ANC and sound quality at a more accessible price. It also looks like they will be competing directly with Apple's new AirPods 4 with ANC – at least in terms of price, since the latter do not have an in-ear design like the QuietComfort Earbuds do.
