Bang & Olufsen has just dropped a new wireless headphone with active noise cancellation.
It's called the Beoplay HX and it's essentially a more affordable variant of the ultra extravagant and luxurious Beoplay H95.
Don't be fooled, however, because the Beoplay HX is still a pricey headphone. Price? S$799.
In the same vein, don't think that Bang & Olufsen has cut corners. The Beoplay HX is made of premium materials. The frame is anodised, pearl-blasted recycled aluminium; the headband is cowhide leather and knitted fabric; finally, the earpads are memory foam covered by soft lambskin.

The drivers are 40mm parts and the Beoplay HX features the same adaptive noise cancellation technology as the pricier Beoplay H95 that uses four microphones to listen to the environment and cancels out unwanted noise.
The Beoplay HX supports Bluetooth 5.1 and can connect to two devices simultaneously. Crucially for audiophiles, all three major wireless audio codecs: SBC, AAC, and aptX.
Battery life is good too. The Beoplay HX charges via USB-C and has a rated battery life of 35 hours with active noise cancellation activated.
The Beoplay HX comes with all the accessories you'd expect from a high-end wireless headphone too. It gets a fabric carrying case, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and a 3.5mm audio cable.
