Apple has launched a special limited-edition of its AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to celebrate the Year of the Snake through its online stores in Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. This marks yet another nod to Chinese New Year from the tech giant, which has embraced the tradition of creating regionally themed products for the festive season.
Last year, the company released a Year of the Dragon edition of the AirPods Pro that, unsurprisingly in Asia, proved immensely popular. It’s also why there isn’t a Year of the Snake edition for this model, if you were wondering. Similarly, Japanese customers recently had access to a special edition AirTag featuring a snake engraving.

This limited-edition AirPods 4 with ANC is by all accounts the same as the vanilla AirPods 4 in functions and performance – these includes up to four hours of listening time in active noise cancellation and Adaptive Audio. Although what sets it apart is the design of the charging case, which comes adorned with an engraving of two entwined snakes surrounded by a fireworks motif.
The AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation is now available for purchase at S$249 on apple.com/sg. Buyers will also notice a limited-edition marking on the product box, distinguishing it from the regular model. As with past limited-edition releases, the Year of the Snake AirPods 4 are only available for a limited time. You can also read our review here, where my colleague Kenny rated it as one of, if not the best open-style earbuds you can buy.
