AirPods "a run away success" for Apple

When asked about the AirPods, Apple CEO Tim Cook described the wireless earphones as "a run away success".

Despite the delayed availability and limited stocks of the AirPods, it seems that Apple's latest wireless earphones are well-received by consumers.

CNBC asked Apple CEO Tim Cook on his thoughts about the recently launched AirPods and he described them as "a run away success". When queried on the supply constraints of the AirPods, Tim promised that Apple is making more units as fast as it can.

At time of publication, the AirPods will only be shipped 6 weeks if you order a pair online now. When it was made available on 13 December, Apple cautioned that quantities were limited online, and regular shipments will be made to Apple Stores and Authorized Resellers.
