The Heston 120 and Heston 60 are Marshall’s first-ever soundbars. As you’d expect from a Marshall product, the Heston 120 and 60 are exceedingly stylish.
Their aesthetics draw heavily from Marshall’s famous guitar amps – this means bronze accents, leather trim, and fabric made to resemble an amplifier’s grille. The Heston 120 even has knurled metal knobs for volume, bass, and treble adjustments.
The Heston 120 soundbar is surprisingly slim, and sounds much larger than its size might suggest.
The Heston 120 is the larger of the two and features an 11-driver configuration consisting of five full-range drivers, two tweeters, two mid-woofers, and two sub-woofers. The smaller Heston 60 has a 7-driver configuration that consists of five full-range drivers and two woofers.
Both soundbars support Dolby Atmos and DTS-X. They feature HDMI 2.1 eARC ports, but can also stream wirelessly over Bluetooth 5.3 or Wi-Fi 6. Both support AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect.

I had a listen to these soundbars, and like most Marshall products I’ve tried, they get really loud. Despite being quite slim, they will easily fill a big room with sound, and they’ll do it without distortion. Even the smaller Heston 60 gets very loud and sounds very full-bodied. I have no doubts that, in terms of volume, they will suffice for any apartment.
The Heston 120’s bass response was a highlight. It sounded so full and punchy that I thought it must have complemented by a subwoofer, but I was wrong – it was playing on its own. Speaking of subwoofers, these soundbars can be complemented by the Heston Sub 200 subwoofer.

My only reservation is that their soundstage appears to be quite weak. Though I would temper this by saying that the demo area wasn’t ideal. It was in the middle of a large store space that had zero acoustic treatment. I need to listen to them in a more suitable space to be sure.
Still, fans of Marshall’s aesthetics and big sound will surely have a lot to like about these new soundbars.
