Apple iPod Touch - A One-Hour Hands On Session

If you were mesmerized by the extremely cool video of the Apple iPod touch launched earlier this month, you are in for a treat as we bring you actual photos of the first ever iPod to boast Wi-Fi, Safari web browser and Apple's multi-touch interface.

Apple iPod touch Preview

For you staunch Apple fans, the latest iPod touch should need no introduction, especially after Steve Job's signature presentation at the "The beat goes on" special event - again. After all, we are talking about the latest installment of the iPod revolution which, amazingly, is still going incredibly strong in the face of tough competition. To share some trivia, Apple has already sold more than 110 million units of iPods and distributed over 600 million copies of iTunes to date. A staggering three billion songs sold through iTunes is all but a strong testament to the business model of the whole iPod ecosystem.

Now at an extremely thin profile that measures just 8mm and with embedded Wi-Fi, Safari web browser and Apple's multi-touch interface (similar to that in the iPhone), the new iPod touch is unlike any other iPods that came before it. Never mind that it only has 16GB of storage for music and videos, the new set of features will be eagerly welcomed by those with a dynamic mobile Internet lifestyle. Furthermore, with Apple's proven marketing engine hard at work, it should come as no surprise to see the iPod touch flying off the shelves when it retails officially on the 28th of September 2007.
