British audio brand Bowers & Wilkins has introduced the Px8 S2, the latest iteration of its flagship wireless noise-cancelling headphones. As the successor to the Px8, the Px8 S2 features a slimmer profile, lighter build, and a more refined overall design.

Weighing 310g, the Px8 S2 now comes wrapped in Nappa leather and is finished with aluminium accents. It is available in two colourways: Onyx Black and Warm Stone. Both the ear cushions and headband are replaceable, allowing users to maintain the headphones’ premium look and durability over time.

On the inside, Bowers & Wilkins has given the Px8 S2 major upgrades. The headphones are fitted with 40mm Carbon Cone drivers powered by a dedicated amplifier, designed to reduce distortion and enhance detail. Together with the dedicated 24-bit DSP, which delivers 24-bit/96kHz resolution audio, the company claims this model offers its best-sounding model to date. Happily, the Px8 S2 also supports wired listening via its USB-C input.

Noise cancellation has also been strengthened on the Px8 S2 thanks to an eight-microphone array – two more than the previous model – which should better suppress background noise. The same microphone system also improves call quality, working with the brand’s “Pure Voice Technology” to deliver clearer and more natural conversations.

As for battery performance, it remains at 30 hours with ANC enabled. A quick-charge 15-minute charge provides up to seven additional hours of playback, which should be plenty to keep you going until you can recharge the headphones again.

The Px8 S2 connects via Bluetooth 5.3 and supports the standard AAC and SBC codecs, as well as aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless codecs for high-resolution wireless streaming. It also offers 3.5mm analogue and USB-C connections for wired listening. In the shared press release, the company also confirmed that Spatial Audio support will be available later in 2025, along with Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast updates via firmware.

Availability and pricing

The Px8 S2 is now available in Singapore and costs S$999. You can find it on the TC webstore, the TC Acoustic Store at The Adelphi, and the brand’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada
