YouTrip celebrates its 7th anniversary with limited-edition blind boxes of its mascot

There are six different versions of Trippie, with only 6,000 blind boxes available during its month-long anniversary. Here’s how you can get them.

Did you know that YouTrip is already seven years old? Not only does time fly by, so does your money (in different currencies, too).

To celebrate its 7th anniversary, YouTrip has introduced its birthday mascot, Trippie. The dragon-shaped entity comes in six different designs via its limited-edition, celebratory blind box, which is themed after various travelling personas.

Of the six designs, one is a secret/chaser, making it extra-rare in an already-limited run. According to YouTrip, there are only 6,000 of these blind boxes available, and that doesn’t even factor in the likelihood of completing the series with the secret/chaser intact.

During the month of celebration (24 September to 24 October 2025), new and existing YouTrip users can participate in online and offline activities to collect all six types of Trippies.

Here are all the ways you can grab a Trippie blind box:

Perks banner and YouTrip spending

3,000 of the blind boxes will be made available through the Perks tab inside your YouTrip app. Besides tapping on the in-app banner, you will also need to spend S$300 (in any currency) between 24 September and 24 October 2025.

By completing all the above, the YouTrip user stands a chance to get one of the Trippie blind boxes, subject to the Terms and Conditions laid out here.

Trippie Hunt

10 Trippies will be hidden across Singapore between 30 September to 14 October 2025. Besides getting one of the Trippie blind boxes, you can also post a selfie on Instagram while tagging @YouTripSG to it, and stand a chance to receive up to S$1,500 in YouTrip credits (T&Cs here).

Clues are released on YouTrip’s Telegram channel every Tuesday, 12 PM, before being released on YouTrip’s Instagram.

Trippieverse Birthday Pop-up

On 27 and 28 September 2025, YouTrip will have a birthday pop-up at Ngee Ann City (Basement 2). Presenting your YouTrip card nets you one Trippie blind box and other YouTrip merchandise, while supplies last. The pop-up also hosts games, photo opportunities, and a complimentary baked good from Mister Donut.

The pop-up’s opening hours are 1 PM to 9 PM on 27 September, and 11 AM to 9 PM on 28 September 2025.

YouTrip travel persona online quiz on Instagram Story

YouTrip will upload a Trippie personality and travel persona online quiz on its Instagram account on 25 September 2025.

YouTrip users who complete the quiz, share their results on Instagram Story, and tag @YouTripSG in it will stand a chance to win a Trippie blind box with S$150 YouTrip credits. Only 10 users will be selected; T&Cs also apply.

What are the six Trippies in these blind boxes?

From what we understood via YouTrip’s description of each Trippie, they are:

  • YouTrippie, an entity from Trippieverse that “hasn’t stopped hunting for the best rates” ever since its interdimensional displacement to our reality and universe
  • OniTrippie, which is part-dragon, part-onigiri, and represents the celebration of Japanese culture, cuisine, and style
  • Baby Trippie, which is the juvenile form of a Trippie that’s “discovering its true calling” in its wanderlust tendencies
  • TrippieBro, a self-proclaimed surfing enthusiast who has “actually never been to an ocean”
  • Monsieur Trippé, a Trippie who spent merely two days in Paris and has decidedly adopted a French-inspired persona with an accent and beret to match
  • MerTrippie, the secret/chaser of the six, representative of a certain sovereign lion city-state with a silhouette showing a fish-like lower body and a lion’s mane

In blind box economy and culture, a “secret” or a “chaser” describes a non-standard collectable that’s much rarer than the rest of the series.
