We already know that Windows 10 will be available on DVD media. It’s also an open secret that the OS will be available on USB flash drives. Now, the company has confirmed it by opening up pre-orders for the USB versions on Amazon.
On Amazon, Windows 10 Home on a USB flash drive is priced at US$119.99, while Windows 10 Pro on a USB flash drive goes for US$199.99. Both versions will be released on August 30, which suggests that we won’t be seeing them in our local stores before that too.
As we noted earlier, the full versions of Windows 10 Home and Pro are going US$119 and US$199 respectively, which means that Microsoft isn’t charging more for the USB versions. These prices are also the same as the existing prices for Windows 8.1 Home and Pro editions. Going by this, we assume that in Singapore, Windows 10 Home and Pro will retail for S$219 and S$369 respectively.
