Uber President, Jeff Jones, quits after just six months

Uber's recent string of controversies, from sexual harassment allegations to Uber CEO Travis Kalanick's frequent outbursts, have proven too much for company President and second-in-command, Jeff Jones, who has quit his job after just six months with the company.

Uber confirmed the departure, saying "We want to thank Jeff for his six months at the company and wish him all the best." However, Jones has been less diplomatic about his departure. Speaking to Recode, Jones said that his values and leadership style are "inconsistent with what [he] saw and experienced at Uber," and that he "can no longer continue" at the company.

Uber poached Jones from Target - where he was Chief Marketing Officer for five years - back in August 2016.
