Microsoft is testing smaller group meetings for the Together Mode feature on Teams.
Discovered by a user of Teams Developer Preview, Together Mode can now be enabled for group meeetings as small as two people! At the moment, Together Mode is available for group meetings of at least five people and can support up to 49 people at the same time.
Together Mode was launched in July 2020 as one of the several new interactive features to help users feel "more connected to people at work and school, reduce video fatigue, make meetings more inclusive and engaging, and to streamline your work to save time". Just two months ago, Microsoft added new features to Together Mode such as the sharing of backgrounds, live emoji reactions and GIFs.
