Tableau announces v10 of its beautiful data visualization software for businesses

Tableau Software has just announced Tableau 10, which will be available this quarter. With the new release, Tableau 10 sports a refreshed design, new analytical and mobile enhancements, as well as more options for preparing data and more abilities for enterprise. 

Tableau is an interactive data visualization product for business. The company launched an IPO in 2013, and currently offers five main products.

A new coat of paint

Tableau 10 offers a brand new color palette and a new custom typeface designed in partnership with renowned typography expert Tobias Frere-Jones.

Design for mobile

A new Device Designer helps you to create dashboards that render perfectly on mobile devices. Support for Mobile Device Management platforms enable IT to keep data safe, no matter which device Tableau is being accessed from.

Get your data

New features help you grok your data even deeper: Cross-database joins bring together disparate data sources, cross-database filtering allows a single filter to be applied to multiple data sources.

More analytics abilities like drag and drop clustering, custom territories and data highlighting make complex analysis easier to perform.

Work on the cloud

Tableau 10 makes it easier to work on the web, with the new ability to create dashboards online. A new flow for publishing lets you publish workbooks and data sources even faster, and a data refresh schedule in the browser now keeps you updated in the cloud.
