Spotify revealed during its latest earnings report that it has 100 million paid subscribers.
According to Spotify, the premium subscriber base increased 32% year-on-year thanks to aggressive promotions in the U.S and Canada, the expansion of Google Home Mini promotion and price reduction to the Spotify Premium + Hulu offering in the U.S.
At the moment, Spotify has a huge lead over Apple Music. The latter has 50 million paid subscribers globally, but it is expanding faster than Spotify in the U.S.
