Spotify could be launching an official app for the Apple Watch soon.
Several Reddit users in Spotify's public beta testing program stumbled upon an early beta version of the WatchOS app through TestFlight and shared screenshots of the app interface. Based on the screenshots, there are playback controls and a recently played list with a toggle for shuffle mode.
However, offline download is not supported at the moment. The app also seems to be not optimized for the Apple Watch Series 4 models. In a statement to MacRumors, a Spotify spokesperson declined to confirm whether an official app is coming to the Apple Watch.
Spotify - "We're always testing new products and experiences, but have no further news to share at this time."
