Singtel has announced the launch of RE:AI, its new Artificial Intelligence Cloud Service (AI Cloud) offering.
The turnkey AI development and deployment platform aims to give enterprises and public sector customers affordable access to AI technologies that can transform their operations without needing them to invest or maintain in-house infrastructure and supporting resources.
The platform will combine AI compute infrastructure like, graphics processing units (GPUs), storage, AI workspaces and tools, with 5G networks, and fixed or quantum safe networks deployed under Singtel’s Paragon orchestration platform. A fixed network is a group of computers and other devices are connected by wires, rather than by radio signals. A quantum-safe network uses quantum-safe cryptography to remain secure even in the presence of powerful quantum computers.
Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel's Digital InfraCo, said:
With the launch of RE:AI, we’re significantly reducing entry barriers, making AI easily accessible to enterprises, government agencies, research communities and academia – the more people have access to AI, the more innovation is bound to emerge, which in turn fuels growth.
According to Singtel, they aim to democratise AI by working with partners in five ways:
- Through the creation of a research and development AI Cloud platform
- Facilitation of AI adoption for the advanced manufacturing sector
- Ecosystem development to accelerate the deployment of AI solutions
- Curation of tech incubation and acceleration programme for promising tech companies
- AI skills training to empower its workforce
Singtel has been readying its data centres for AI by ensuing that they are ready to handle higher power density AI workloads as well as implementing solutions like liquid cooling to handle higher power density AI workloads.
