Even before Windows Phone 8.1 hits existing devices, there's already a report saying that Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1 is reaching the RTM milestone soon.

If you're looking to get a budget Windows Phone 8.1 device, know that the Nokia Lumia 635 has already hit local stores, and it's priced at S$239.
Even before Microsoft unleashes Windows Phone 8.1 to current devices (or you've already gotten it by way of the Nokia Lumia 635), Neowin is now reporting that the Redmond-based company is nearing completion for Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1 (or is it Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1?).
Unsurprisingly, GDR 1 isn’t as big of an update as Windows Phone 8.1. But it’s still expected to bring more commonly requested features like native folder support.
Not interested in Windows Phone? Well, it’s long rumored that Windows 8.1 Update 2 is coming as early as August (that’s next month!), and it’ll bring the new Start menu that we first saw in April at the Build conference.
Sure, all the new updates can be hard to keep up with; but hey, we can't possibly say no to new features and improvements, right?
