If you've been playing Super Mario Run on the go, do watch your mobile data consumption.

According to Pocketnow, Super Mario Run is a data hogger as early tests reveal that the game consumes 40 to 60MB of data an hour. That translates to about 5GB of data used in a two-week period if the game is played for two to three hours a day. In comparison, Pokémon Go consumes about half the amount of data.

The huge data consumption could be due to "connection issues" and the game requiring a constant Internet connection to be played. It remains to be seen whether the game actually consumes that much data when connections to the server are stabilized. For now, it's recommended that you switch to a Wi-Fi connection to play Super Mario Run.
