Otter.ai brings gen AI tools to your meetings at no additional cost
Otter subscribers can also now interact with an AI chatbot where they can ask questions about what took place in the past meeting or others and you don't need to read the full transcript anymore.

Popular auto-transcription app Otter.ai has announced the launch of Otter Meeting GenAI.
With Otter Meeting GenAI, users can ask it questions, and Otter will search for answers across all your meetings. There are three main features to it:
- Otter AI Chat across all your meetings: Get answers to questions and generate content like emails and status updates using Otter AI Chat which now can access all of your meetings, not just a single meeting.
- AI Chat in Channels: Chat with Otter AI Chat and team members using collaborative AI Chat (patent pending) making it easier than ever to keep the team aligned and increase productivity with greater transparency and speed.
- AI Conversation Summary View: Identify action items with assignments in real time and get a live narrative summary to ensure swift execution and accountability. AI now provides the key information in one easy view without needing to read the full transcript.
According to Otter, the heart of Meeting GenAI lies in the new multi-conversation capabilities for Otter AI Chat that allows users to tap into the collective wisdom from past meetings and this gives it an advantage over single meeting offerings of Microsoft CoPilot, Zoom AI Companion, and Google Duet. Using generative AI-powered questions, users can pose questions, generate content, and spark creative ideas, all from the content found in their meeting history.
Otter says that they will be offering all the new AI features in its plans including the free Otter Basic plan and the Otter Business plan at US$20 per month per user.
