In case you missed it, Huawei announced its Health app is integrated with Singapore Health Promotion Board (HPB)'s Healthy 365 mobile app earlier in March 2023. It initially faced some teething issues, but it has recently been resolved.
Huawei users can now pair their Health app with the Healthy 365 app and get rewarded when they meet daily goals in Health Promotion Board's (HBP) National Steps Challenge, such as when clocking Moderate to Vigorous Physical Activity (MVPA) minutes.
With the integration of the Huawei Health app, HPB says all major commercial fitness wearables are now compatible with Healthy 365. Huawei states it is happy to partner with HPB and showcase its long-term commitments to Singapore's collective efforts towards building a healthier population.
For consumers, this is great news as Huawei has several very capable and affordable fitness trackers and smartwatches for consideration. If you already own one of them, you stand to benefit from the added compatibility and rewards you can reap from HPB's Healthy 365 app (iOS App Store link, Android Play Store link).
For instructions on how you can successfully grant the necessary permissions for Healthy 365 and Huawei Health apps to pass the required data between them, HPB has this PDF instruction kit to assist you.
Should you encounter any setup or connectivity issues, do check that your Huawei account was registered to the Singapore region. If it isn't, you're advised to change it or re-install the app with the correct country selection.
