In a blog post, Google announced that Google AI is now included in Workspace Business and Enterprise plans.

Google added that the following features will be included:

  • AI assistance in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Meet, Chat, Vids, and more: Gemini streamlines communications by helping to summarise, draft, and find information in emails, chats, and files. It can help create documents, slides, spreadsheets, and videos from scratch. It can also improve the meeting experience by taking notes, enhancing audio and video, and providing catch-up notes if you join late.

  • Chat with Gemini Advanced: Learn, brainstorm, and plan using Gemini on your laptop or mobile device. Gemini Advanced can help tackle complex projects, including coding, research, and data analysis, and it can even deploy a team of AI experts to take over repeatable or specialised tasks.

  • NotebookLM Plus: Google is bringing its AI research assistant to every employee to help them make sense of complex topics. Upload sources to get instant insights and Audio Overviews, then share customised notebooks with the team to accelerate their learning and onboarding. Never used NotebookLM before? Google has also changed its pricing to make it more attractive to businesses. Previously, a customer using the Workspace Business Standard plan with a Gemini Business add-on previously paid S$42.60 per user, per month (S$26.60 per user per month for full AI access and S$16 for the standard plan). Now, that same customer will pay just S$18.80 per user, per month.

Google AI will start rolling out to Google Workspace Business customers now, and to Enterprise customers later this month. The move comes just as Microsoft has announced plans to add an AI chat solution to what current Microsoft 365 customers enjoy and is sure to heat up competition in the online productivity space.
