USSD attacks can be easily initiated by visiting a website containing malicious USSD command, and this security flaw allows cybercriminals to wipe out data in the smartphone remotely. After installing the app, users should check if their smartphone is open to such attacks by using ESET’s USSD test. ESET USSD Control will display a warning window whenever a malicious USSD code is found, blocking the execution of the command.
