Colour-code your browsing with Google Chrome's new Tab Grouping feature

The feature is currently still in beta, with gradual roll out in the coming weeks.

When surfing on the Internet, it's quite easy to hit 50-odd tabs in an hour or two. No doubt it gets a little messy when you're doing a dozen little things at once. To help organise things a little, Google is trying out a new feature called Tab Grouping in the beta version of the Google Chrome web browser.

You can group your tabs and label them with a custom name and colour to stay organised. The feature allows the user to right-click the tab area for grouping, and it also provides re-ordering of entire chunks of tab by dragging.

While the live version will roll out starting from this week onwards, users who are eager to try it out can do so in the beta version of the web browser. The beta version of Google Chrome can be found here.
