Some Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Series 9 models are said to be plagued with "ghost touches" issue.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Series 9 watches appear to be affected by a touch-related issue.

MacRumors obtained the internal memo which details how some Apple Watch Ultra 2 or Series 9 users have experienced false touches on their displays.

Described as "ghost touches", the issue causes the display to "jump erratically" which results in the Apple Watch initiating a call by accident or preventing the user from keying in their passcode to unlock the device.

The internal memo also instructs authorised service providers to not repair affected Apple Watches while Apple thoroughly investigates the issue. A software update should suffice to fix this issue.

In the meantime, affected users are advised to force restart their Apple Watch by holding the digital crown and the side button at the same time for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
