Apple might be embarking on an ambitious strategy to boost its video streaming service.
Sources familiar with the company's plans told Bloomberg that Apple plans to spend $1 billion every year to produce movies for release in cinemas at least a month before bringin them to its video streaming service.
Apparently, Apple has already discussed partnership opportunities with movie studios to release a few titles in cinemas this year with more in the pipeline. Potential movie titles include spy thriller "Argylle" and Ridley Scott's Napoleon. By releasing movies in theatres, Apple hopes to promote its video streaming service to the audience.
