Adobe Confirms Lightroom will Stand Alone from Creative Cloud
Adobe Product Manager Tom Hogarty has confirmed in a Google+ Hangout that Adobe has "no plans to make Lightroom subscription-only at any point in the future", in contrast to the rest of Adobe Creative Cloud apps which will be subscription only going forward.

The full quote, from DPreview, goes:
"Basically we have no plans to make Lightroom subscription-only at any point in the future. We have plans to make Lightroom available in its current form pretty much indefinitely." And, while he wouldn't use the word 'forever,' he confirmed that he meant "for the foreseeable future."
Lightroom always seemed to led a different life from the rest of Adobe's Creative Suite, it was rumored to have been a 'skunkworks project' developed in a building away from the main Adobe offices, cost significantly less than Adobe's other imaging tool Photoshop, and has been called by Photoshop creator Thomas Knoll as the modern-day remake of Photoshop.
On new features like Photoshop CC's Camera Shake Reduction tool, Lightroom Product Manager Sharad Mangalick said that while they are "looking at ways of leveraging cutting-edge technology", it will not be coming in Lightroom 5.
