Adobe Max is probably one of the biggest design events of the year, and the highlight of Max is undoubtedly the segment they call “Sneaks”. This is where Adobe’s engineers show off what they’ve been working on, and it’s generally most impressive to say the least. Here’s a quick round up of what was on display, all powered by Adobe Sensei.
#BrushBounty

If you’ve worked with motion graphics, you’ll know how tedious it can be to add an animation. Brush Bounty lets you literally add animations with a single stroke, and helps to connect your artwork to live data. As in the video above, all you need to do to have rainfall in your image match the rainfall in your actual location is to copy a link to that information.
#ProjectSmoothOperator

Having to create multiple versions of varying aspect ratios of the same video is a pain, as you have to manually ensure that your key elements remain in frame. Not with Smooth Operator. This automatically picks up the main subject of your video and automatically adjusts the frame to ensure that it can always be seen.
#FantasticFold

If you ever wanted to make your own custom origami pieces, this next one is for you. Fantastic Fold automatically breaks down the orientation of each plane of an origami fold and applies the right part of your design so that it matches perfectly when you put it together.
#ProjectWaltz

Working with teams in 3D can be tricky. To show the other party which precise angle you mean, you’ll need to create a render for each view. What if you could just walk around your 3D model and capture the angles you need from your phone? That’s what Project Waltz does, and more. As you’ll see from the video above, it allows you to create camera effects just by moving your mobile phone.
#Fontphoria

Working with fonts can be tricky given the sheer number of fonts available. Sometimes you come across just the right one on a street sign, but can’t find the matching download for use. Fontphoria takes care of all of this by converting any image into a font. Make your own fonts by modifying just a single letter and see it magically applied across the entire family. Awesome!
#ProjectFastMask

Masking in video is usually done on a frame by frame basis; a tedious process to say the least. Project Fast Mask lets you apply a mask once, and have it automatically propagate across the entire clip. It’s even smart enough to follow your subject behind objects, and you can add effects over it too.
#ProjectModelMorph

Project Model Morph lets you edit 3D models like you would a 2D object, letting you free transform a model while keeping all the symmetries intact, with no distortion. Editing models for use multiple ways has never been easier!
#MovingStills

Think of it as the famous Ken Burns transition effect taken up several levels. Moving Stills lets you turn any photograph into a live photo. Using deep learning provided by Adobe Sensei, any image can be animated in 3D, with added depth so it seems like you’re flying through it.
#ProjectKazoo

Here’s something for the musicians. Project Kazoo takes any voice recording and transposes it into a musical instrument. So now, you can literally turn your humming into an entire orchestra. Sweet!
#ProjectGoodBones

Yet another hack for animation, Project Good Bones makes it incredibly easy to edit vector based shapes by letting you define a skeleton for the vector piece. Making changes to shape can then be done by moving this skeleton, so you can easily rework complex vectors with overlapping shapes.
