Plaud.ai has announced the launch of the Plaud Note Pro, the latest addition to its lineup of AI-powered productivity devices. The Note Pro is designed as the successor to the original Plaud Note, with upgrades in hardware, software, and overall functionality to make the note-taking process smarter, faster, and more versatile.
Retaining the slim design of its predecessor, the Note Pro measures just under 3mm in thickness and weighs 30g. It features an aluminium body and introduces a new 0.95-inch AMOLED InstantView display with a brightness of 600 nits. The screen is capable of showing multiple views, including recording status, transfer status, battery, and more.
The Note Pro comes with a MagSafe-compatible case, allowing users to easily attach it to their phone for call recording.
Unlike the original Plaud Note, which required a manual toggle to switch recording modes, the Note Pro can automatically detect whether the user is on a phone call or in an in-person meeting. This is achieved through its Smart Dual Mode Recording system, which identifies vibration and audio signals from phone calls using a vibration conduction sensor and switches to call mode, while recognising ambient voices through its microphone array to switch to meeting mode. This automatic detection removes the need for manual switching and makes the device more convenient for everyday use.
The Note Pro is equipped with a four-microphone array that uses AI-powered beamforming to capture audio from distances of up to five metres. This setup improves both voice clarity and background noise suppression while also enabling the Note Pro to detect and track active speakers. Battery performance has also been improved, with up to 50 hours of continuous recording and 75 days of standby time – compared to 30 hours and 60 days on the original Plaud Note.
The Plaud Note Pro comes in Silver or Black
Connectivity has been upgraded as well. The Note Pro now supports dual-band Wi-Fi with transfer speeds of up to 2.2Mbps, along with Bluetooth 5.4 for more stable and faster connections. The device now also supports Apple Find My, allowing users to easily locate it if misplaced. A new “press-to-highlight” button has been added, giving users the ability to mark key moments during recordings. These highlights can then be used to generate more detailed and context-specific summaries.
Beyond hardware, Plaud.ai has also introduced Plaud App 3.0 alongside the Note Pro. The updated application allows users to input text, upload images such as presentation slides, and interact with their notes through the new “Ask Plaud” feature, which provides answers with direct references to recorded content. In addition, Plaud Intelligence has been enhanced to support the latest large language models, including GPT-5 and Gemini 2.5 Pro for more accurate summaries.
Availability and pricing
No official local availability has been announced yet, although the US price has been confirmed at US$179 (~S$230) for the Plaud Note Pro. According to the company, early buyers will receive 600 complimentary transcription minutes and a magnetic case, with shipping scheduled to begin in October 2025.
