Trend Micro Extends Web Security Services to PS Vita

Trend Micro has extended its collaboration with Sony to offer two web security services - Trend Micro Kids Safety and Trend Micro Web Security for PlayStation Vita.

These two services incorporate Trend Micro's URL filtering and web reputation technologies respectively, blocking inappropriate websites from being accessed and accidentally visiting a website which may contain malicious content designed to steal private information such as credit card numbers.

Both services are already available in Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. It will be available in Singapore starting 22 Feb, coinciding with the releases of PlayStation Vita in North America, South America, EMEA, and selected countries in Asia. Trend Micro is also offering a free 90-day trial version.
